• LC Learning Curves offers training for childcare professionals across all early years provisions.
• We have nearly 40 years experience in the childcare profession with 20 years experience working with childcare practitioners through training and development.
• Having also worked for a number of years with Families with Young Children we can also offer both childcare and personal development training for parents
• Our experience also includes management, and working partnership skills needed to train managers and their staff to work in a team, and work within local authority standards

Training Courses In Your Own Setting

We all know how important it is to continue with your professional development and to work very closely with parents and carers. Accessing training that is personal and bespoke can sometimes present a challenge.

We are able to provide specific training to meet the needs of your setting and current Government initiatives, within your own premises or at a venue you wish to organise with groups of professionals and parents.

Our aim is to concentrate on topics we feel will enhance practice, develop closer relationships between professionals and parents and carers, and initiate your thinking and discussion around these important issues.

Six Hour Workshops for Childcare Professionals and Parents

Thinking positively about children's behaviour

This workshop will discuss through interactive group work and facilitation, the what, why and how of behaviour, and the role of the adult within this. The workshop will provide positive strategies to assist each unique child.

The importance of children's social and emotional development

In this workshop we will explore attachment, developing and managing feelings, making friends, working together and ways forward to increase a child's self esteem and confidence.

Becoming more Assertive

This workshop will help you to identify areas for personal and professional development, feel more confident as an employer and employee, examine our own 'Iceberg' within us all and develop strategies to take you forward in a positive way.

Our Childcare Philosophy

We believe that children need time to develop at their own pace and have the opportunity to enjoy their early years without feeling anxious and pressured to achieve before they are ready.

We believe play is a pure experience for its own sake and through their play, children learn who they are, what they like to do and who they like to do it with.

We feel our role within their world is to stand back and be inspired by their inventiveness, gently encourage when invited and support their carers to do the same.

Each course is £250 for up to 20 people (£15 for each additional person)

The courses can be delivered at times to suit you and your setting.

We welcome your parents to attend any of the courses.
